We’ve been outrageously quiet and I’m sorry.
Every time I have sat down to write an article something has come up or what I want to have said I cannot release at that moment. The trial production camera’s go out today and I am beyond ecstatic. Nervous, excited, scared, proud, and about all – happy. But I and my company cannot sit still – I’ve congratulated everyone involved everyone, and we all had the same attitude – we did well, but we can improve. So the last week (during the DHL saga) we were auditing ourselves and our production system. We’ve identified a multitude of improvements to be made so in the future everything goes far smoother.
We’ve started work on the next ‘big’ update already for the JooVuu X – mainly being the PC program. We accidentally discovered some stuff (being vague so we have an advantage over everyone else) about how the PC and JooVuu X connect to each other. At best, we can do some speedy file transfers, at worse, we can do normal file transfers at normal speeds. But this has really allowed us to open up the uses of the JooVuu X from being a car camera to being far more of a ‘utility’ camera. Over the coming weeks we’ll release more details of the JooVuu X PC Program but we are on track to being the first camera to have WiFi Auto-Upload.
Regarding the firmware, we have started work on adding more features already, but until we have initial feedback from our customers regarding bugs, improvements, features etc, we’ve put a hold on this. As you may have seen in some forums, we’re using these trial production cameras as essentially an extension of our beta testing program – this is NOT to say these cameras are beta quality, these are mass produced quality, but as we have produced a small quantity it allows us to get far more detailed feedback. This hopefully means for our next run of cameras, there are even fewer bugs and fewer problems, whilst the improvements will be visible. We’re currently testing a new connection interface for the app and camera which should allow us to speed up the app even further. This will be rolled out to the pre-order customers once we have established this is stable.
The website, will also be changing, as we’ll be adding new products (we hope soon) to the JooVuu X range, the website will be changing but this should not be till after Christmas. The FAQ section including video ‘How-To’s’ is almost ready so any problems regarding the JooVuu X can hopefully be solved through our FAQ section.
As hinted at in other blog posts we are working on other projects. Two involve cameras, and two do not. More information will be given when the time is right, at the moment our efforts are on the JooVuu X and building our brand.
Speaking of our brand, we are looking to expand and improve (as usual) and we would love any feedback you have on our website and brand. If you have any suggestions please let us know by emailing me at email@example.com.
That’s all for now and I promise to write more blogs!
